Charlie --

Haha and hoho! Your team will not be beating mine. In fact, you can choose your entire team and I will take anyone left over, Slughorn included! You're too right about Minerva being peeved. She would likely call too many fouls on my team if I forced her to sit next to him, despite it not being her job. She has that type of humour. I will manage, I assure you.

I was certain giving Percy the job to play lord and ruler over us would incite him to want to join. See, I will have deal with Minerva's sabatoge and you will have to deal with your brother's. Never forget the cleverness of a Ravenclaw, Charilie.

In regards to the incident surrounding my currently gorgeous and youthful form - it was half accident, half intended. Let's just say someone should have brushed up on our potion-making skills before trying to spike the holiday punch with vengeance. Fortunately or unfortunately, the majority of the staff was a few decades younger. Bill and I were the only two who did not partake in the cure, for the reasons that we were too <s>embarrassed</s> inebrieated at the time and we didn't want to be anywhere near Minerva or Snape. Snape said there would be side-effects, but I haven't experienced anything negative as of yet, unless vibrancy and energy is considered negative for a twenty-one year old.

I have assumed the same about Bill. I have tried to speak with him on private visits, but he stubbornly insists on being left alone. I've decided it is best to let him figure out he is not at the end of his world by himself. Remus used to and sometimes still does the same thing. Nevertheless, he shouldn't be forcing himself to spend holidays alone. If only there were people who wouldn't mind inciting his anger and pulling him out of whatever hole he's drug himself into.

-- R. Hooch.

Mr Weasley the Third --

I don't expect the match to last for days. If your eldest brother is still as clever as I think he is, the match could be over very shortly. I am certain he has tricks up his sleeve. I assume you know about Weasley trickery, hmm?

I'm looking at next Friday, probably around noon since that will be warmest. Other things do indeed take a precedance over Quidditch, but you know what they say about all work and no play <s>not that you would be really playing</s>!

I'm sending along an overview of the rules. I wouldn't want you to miss anything. You must return the book when you are finished with it; it is one of my favourites.

-- R. Hooch

Pomona --

That is wonderful news, my dear. I thought for sure you would find some way to escape the match.

I don't expect anyone to keep with me, of course. I'm the only who <s>can remember most of the rules</s> <s>still fly</s> has been flying lately. It's just for fun. Be sure to get Filius involved!

-- R.
Delivered by House Elf to Charlie Weasley

Charlie --

That is excellent news! If you're going to pick your own team, I should just make you captain of one of the two. Of course, I was going to make you a captain regardless. This may be a problem. Because of your demands, and the fact that we cannot possibly play on the same team due to fairness, I am going to have to be on a team with rolly-polly Slughorn. Do you have any ideas of someone else who might be up to the task of being the other captain? I'd love to do it, but I am sure someone will cry out injustice.

Minerva and I didn't discuss a date. Sometime before Christmas, of course, if it isn't bitterly cold. There's something about old bones and cold weather that makes a person miserable. It may or may not be on the 23rd of December. I hope your mother can spare you for that day, at least.

So you have noticed that I am younger than you. I thought you'd missed the drastic change. You should have been here last Christmas when all of the staff were decades younger. It's a shame no one but Billl and I liked their new look. Perhaps if they had, I wouldn't be surrounded be stuffy and stubborn old beards who don't really want to play Quidditch. Besides being utterly bored most of the time and the impending war skulking somewhere nearby at all times, life has been rather grand.

It's not entirely cheating if <s>the potion got botched</s>it happened by mistake. That is just luck.

I am making it your responsibility to blackmail your brothers into participating in my festivities. I don't think you should have any trouble.

-- R. Hooch

Owl to Cho Chang

Miss Chang --

It's about time you wrote me a letter.

I wonder, Miss Chang, what you are proposing we do about Miss Fawcett? It seems you would like for her to be replaced, but you are wise enough to know that will not happen. It surpises me that you heard about the match, especially so soon, but then again... Were you told the score? Surely you know that scores as high as we saw last Saturday are very rare around here.

Let's get to the facts about the match, shall we? Several points were scored by each team, meaning the Chasers were great and the Keepers were not. There were several opportunities for each Seeker to take the snitch quite early on in the game, most of these being by Ravenclaw, yet the snitch was never caught by our team. There were injuries, but I believe it was only one student who enjoyed the weekend with Poppy. The fact that the match was very heated and many points were scored does not negate the fact if either team knew what they were doing the scores would have been much less than what they were.

What does mean for the future, more specifially, the Cup? Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw have pushed themselves into a dominating lead. The question is, now, if they will be able to hold on that lead. I don't suspect that they will -- Ravenclaw, especially. What is better motivation to work harder for the Cup , for a Slytherin and Gryffindor, then the thought that the victory will be sweeter if they overcome the odds? The thought that Draco Malfoy will have his team on the pitch more than the regular two times per day draws concern for me, but I have no doubt, as Hogwart's currently most adept Captain, that he will do this. I think even you would be impressed with what he has done with his team. The point is that Ravenclaw might have appeared to have significantly well during the first match, but the up and coming challenges for them may be more than they can handle.

I am not saying that Miss Fawcett is a bad captain. I'm certainly not saying she will be replaced. Filius chose her as a captain for a reason: she is the only person on the team capable of running it. She is not you, or Oliver, or Charlie.

Speaking of which, did you know Charlie is here? Oliver was making visits, too. You should speak to Oliver, actually. He's had this idea for Quidditch clinics, a sort of training program he intends to lead. He is just very busy with his own Quidditch life. Perhaps, if you like the idea, you would want to join him? I've thrown the idea to Minerva, but no serious conversation has come of it just yet.

-- R. Hooch

P.S. If you wish to come to Hogwarts, you have to promise not to harass, insult, or goad Miss Fawcett.
